I built out a complete vertical garden system on my upper deck because my yard has no room for a traditional garden. But now we are moving to a house with more yard, so I'm selling my full solution. I 3D printed the modules and they stack in any configuration you like. Each module holds 3 plants that fit in a locking carrier. I did 4 columns of 4 modules, for a total of 48 plants. But you can go higher or lower as needed. Huge plans tend to shade some of the holes so your placement in the stack is important.
I also purchased the eGrowr.com automation solution that is the monitor, the controller, and the relay board. This monitors temp, PH, EC, humidity, tank water levels and other parameters. It can automatically adjust PH, add nutrients, add fresh water, do full water changes, run lights, pumps, and fans on your schedule. You can monitor/control it from a web browser, or a smart phone app.
