The pump has been running in our fountain for 6 months now and is doing well. I bought a slighly oversized pump and turned down the flow to minimum. The previous mini pump was at full flow and burnt out in a year.

Specs said it had a max of 5.9 feet rise. I have a fountain that has a 3.5 ft rise and it is barely making it. I works fine but is underpowered for the rated use. It is maxed out so I have to live with it for now. I normally purchase pumps that are rated a minimum 300 gph in the past but took a chance with this one since manufacturer claimed if would be sufficient. I ordered a more powerful one to keep on hand knowing that this one won't last long. This is probably better suited for an aquarium or pond.
